Sorry to hear about your accident. Be glad you were able to walk away. The car can be replaced or repaired but you cant.

Hi Im new to the site so im not sure how the garage points work. I have two people that deserve them. The irst one is Tmac, he had a radiator for my 66 coupe and GAVE it to me. The second one is Tubo, He lives in upstate Florida and drove it down to tampa for me. I would like to personally thank them both and its great that there are still nice people left in the world. Thanks again guys. PS i would also like to thank Mustang Steve for having a great website and letting all of us gear heads show and tell what we have and are very proud of.

Im just curious where you guys get your hardware to put these beautiful machines together? I have been going to Ace Hardware and tractor supply for some. Is there a place where i can order in bulk and cheaper than a few at a time. Thanks

Hi i have a 66 coupe that im restoring and i am trying to remove the old steering box from the steering colum. I took the three bolts holding it in place but i still cant get it off the colum. I dont see anything holding it on, I tried a pry bar and everything. It slides down about a half inch and stops. I feelstupid but doesnt it just slide in and out of the steering box? Please help a newbie out lol.

Im trying to find out the name of the body part that is on the ends of the cowl and go down to the sides of the fender walls. Mine are rotted out and want to replace them but not sure what to look for. I think they call them a lower support box but not sure.

I'm restoring a 66 coupe that originaly had a I6 to a v8 and curious about what type of shocks to use? I see KYB are usually used alot but Monroe is shown quite a bit and also alot cheaper. Is there a huge difference in handling and performance?

Thanks everyone for some good ideas, I did do most of the suspension upgrades and see everyone upgrading spindles. Is this something that is necessary or can i just upgrade to rotors and calipers on the front but with a 4 lug system? Im not racing i just want to take it out and drive but do want some power when needed.

I have a question regarding a upgrade to my 66 coupe that had a inline 6. I am going to put a 302 in it and I've upgraded the suspension but not sure if i can or should use the stock steering? If i upgrade to power steering do i still use the same tie rod ends and such?

Hi everyone, I'm brand new to the site and love it so far. I'm also new to restoring a 1966 mustang coupe. I'm looking to buy or trade parts but like i said i'm new so not sure how this works. I need alot as the car is pretty much in pcs. The first thing i really need to get is a firewall and side pcs, also splash guards with rubber for both front and rear. I hope some can help or steer in right direction. Thanks again
