FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » Brake Pressure Differential Valve or is it a Proportioning valve » 3/15/2025 6:41 AM |
From the first post it sounds like you had the brakes working at one time, but have you verified you have the correct pedal. I had an issue with that when i started on my car eons ago.

Elongating the existing holes is the only tedious part. My neighbor has a brand new plasma cutter for sale. Since I have to do BOTH SIDES, that would make cost of buying the machine to cut a hole HALF AS MUCH, right?
And if you do both cars, it is even less.

Well, according to Gargle Mops, total mileage from Atlantic Mine to Marysvill, Ks (Allan' place) to Pine Junction, CO (RV6's Place) to Montrose, CO (my place) to Bako (the bash) to Houston,TX (Glen and Steve and Coupe Daddy's Place. And Dans brother, I think) and then back to Atlantic Mine, MI is a total of over 5600 miles. Add in all the general running around everywhere (I know he did around 300 at the bash, I know I did) and it ain't hard to see just short of 6400 miles.
Hell of a cruise, LT. Proud of you and your very fine '65. Everyone should strive to make their classic drive as sweet at your car. Mine is decent but I will work hard to make it as fine as yours.
You have to add my place in twice. He stopped in going to the bash and on the way home. That adds a couple hundred miles. Really enjoyed his company.

it is not too hard to handle with the 15" I have. Got 235/45/17" tires on the car. They are a full 9" wide, so there is plenty to turn. Backing out of a parking spot is about the hardest thing. i have had the rack on the car for 11-12 years and no problems. There is no slop going down the road. I would ask why it was taken off.
Eventually i would like to add EPAS to what I have.

I have that rack on my 67 coupe. Has a 5.0 also. I like it going down the road, only troubles are in parking lots going slow. I had a 13-1/2 steering wheel on it, had to go to a 15" wheel. Just too hard to turn with the smaller wheel.

That is quite a story. My car sat for 3 or4 years while life got in the way. (Weddings, grandkids), can't hardy imagine sitting for 34 years.
Listened to the video, it just might have enough cam for 6S6. Sounds healthy.

Ed, I put the VSS on my car and all i did was drill the hole with a 7/16 (I think) drill bit and it worked fine.
Speedo cable fit in and locked tight.

I have the 69 mirrors on my 67 coupe. PO had them on when i bought the car. I will tell you that if you want to use the wing window, these mirrors will interfere. I did convert them to electric using this fellars guide.
There are two parts to his instructions, very detailed.
I didn't follow it to the letter, but used a switch from a 96 Exploder and they work nicely.

They are replacements. Moved the spring a little bit on the hoist and it is definetely the mount.
FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » rear spring noise » 9/09/2024 5:59 PM |
The passenger side rear spring on my 67 groans and squeaks something terrible. 95% sure it is in the front mount. Pulled the bolt out and it looks good, but is dry. What is the best way to get it to shut up? Grease, anti seize, or something else.
(would be a bash thrash, but i will not be able to attend this year) Dang work getting in the way.
