Seems a shame you have to disassemble the whole toplader just to R&R a clutch and T.O. bearing. Wondering if the tyranny is level when pulling it out? Could the T.O. bearing be jamming the thing after it is pulled 4"? Is the clutch arm still moveable at the 4 inch mark?
"Rubegoldberg" method would be to try a small crowbar with another guy wiggling/rotating the tail shaft at the same time. Speedo cable disconnected? I had no luck on google either.

If you would have used "flat type" lug nuts instead of acorn type lug nuts would the wheel of worked? Visa dispute people are great even for fradulent type charges. Just have to be patient is all.

No BS Climate Change here . Great Mustang weather! Just typical fog in the mornings, then it burns off to 70* in the afternoons. Although it is supposed to get into the high 75+* later this week. Our heat is very dependent on where it's at for Bobs part of the state.... Fog here= Cookin over at Bobs! With as much water as MS state has had, sure hope he got that SBC put back together by now.

FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » Anybody with 15x8 Magnums on a 69-70? » 6/21/2024 5:22 PM |
I'll bet you could go to the Tire Rack tire fit mitt guide web site and find out what tires and wheels will fit your car. I had 15X8 Torque thrust mags with 245X 60/15's on my 67 FB, drum brakes and they would barely rub the rear 1/4's when I hit a bump. The fenders were not rolled otherwise I think it would have been ok.

FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » Proper way to keep VIN when replacing Inner Fender » 5/24/2024 7:55 AM |
Interesting, I always thought that Dynacorn bodies came with their own updated vin. numbers on each body that they made.
FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » Proper way to keep VIN when replacing Inner Fender » 5/23/2024 9:11 AM |
Isn't there usually two vin numbers on the left and right side of the aprons? The passenger side is concealed by the actual fender. They should be the same numbers on them. Mine was double stamped on both sides. Like the stamper dude didn't think it stamped good enough the first time so he stamped it again. Got pictures of the placement of th i.d's some place I will look for them.
