At least your getting your money 's worth out of it Sally. I have had mine (AAA) for 5 years now and still haven't used the card yet. I was thinking maybe a 40 MPH spare butt with larger brakes I guess that is now out the window.

Can't wait to see BBQ in service. So the intake will be the opening to the actual cooking grill? How will that work with the distributor cap not melting? Gonna give a new meaning to greasy burgers and greasy steaks. I like my good ole webber.

If I was 14 years older then what I am right now, I guess I would be looking at this in perhaps another direction. That would be to sell your pony and get another one that has all the equipment you want. Doing a quick search I found a 66 with a 347 stroker that looked like it had been in there for a while. b&m supercharger, real clean, looked like new tires, Wilwoods, 6 speed automatic. Asking 35K. now you could sell yours and just make up the rest of the money. Pretty sure your son would be just as happy or more with something with an auto. As long as it came from you is all that matters to him.

Try getting something from N.Y. to Calif. 14 plus days and the small package still hasn't arrived. Why didn't they just mail the stuff? E-bay sometimes doesn't get it right.

The big show of the year is just around the corner, Pismo Car Show 2000+ literally, I could walk to it!  It will be interesting to see what cars shows up this year because last year they were only able to fill about 2/3 of the spaces, BUTT at over $150.00 for the weekend, and the cops issuing tickets up the kazoo I can understand why there are so many "no shows."
We used to have a real nice show in the next town from mine, 200+ cars complete with a car parade/cruz competition,  BUTT there again, the insurance got to be so expensive that it was impossible for the local club to pay for everything. It was discontinued a couple years ago
Then we have the every Sat." Donuts Direlict" get together, Butt it has changed also with more and more  newer cars and loud RAP CRAP music. The classics end up just collecting dust in our garages.

I remember that Viewer, It was a while back. I remember the guy using wet paper towles (blue) between the scoop and hood.  He then took his time and slowly welded the whole scoop on. Someone here said that it  was a way cool way he did to prevent warpage of the metal that way. I  think I would experiment with some scrap before trying it on the scoop myself. Butt then I can't weld so?

SAl, I remembered you had a Maaco paint job and prep put on your car originally. Gosh that was probably 20+ years ago! Looks like it was a good plan after all. I think you also epoxyed the cowl vents also to prevent mice and water from getting in.

As I remember Sal, that was a relatively inexpensive paint job you put on your car several years ago? I was just wondering how it is still holding up after the trips you have made across the country? Looks real good!

My guess is the lawn mower and weed eater business is pretty slow in that area.

Billy, The   E303 seemed to be the most popular. Summit racing used to have a good price on them a while back. I will be running mine with a Carb. and a T-5

You have a large uncontrolled fire raging in your next county from you.( Fredricks Burg) ? Might want to keep your TV on just in case they issue an evacuation notice on you folks. Here in Calif. there is always a fire going some place.

If you have 15” wheels, the Cobra rear disc brakes will fit. There is a company on ebay selling reproduction cobra calipers cheaper new than you can find used.
If you have bigger wheels, the 2005-2014 rear GT brake kit is simpler to hook up. You can use the original parking brake cables with those, and the brakes are available in salvage yards for cheap.

Steve's instructions above are the least expensive way to go, I don't think you could go wrong? Or you can go Wilwoods complete kit ($1000.00) like I did.

Back in High school there was no such thing as X or H exhausts. It made it a lot easier to find a blown head gasket that way.
