Update.  Feb 2 2017 I have been in the hospital for 2 weeks. Recieved the stem cells on the 2nd. Now about 2 more weeks in here and I should be well into recovery and get to go home. So far things are going the way the Docs have planed it. Thanks for the prayers. Keep them coming. L8tr Steve

Update: So when I got out of the hospital a month ago, doc say's she found an exact doner match. The stem cells will be available the first or second week of Jan 2017. So I just got put back in the hospital for another week of chemo to keep my imune system at bay for another month. They tell me I will get to leave here and go home on Thursday this week, and not stay here for a month. Will return the first or second week of Jan for more chemo and the stem cells. Wish me luck.
Thanks every one.

Well I got to come homw yesterday. Almost 30 days in the hospital. Counts are low so need to be careful. Probably take 3-4 weeks to get back on my feet. No test results for a couple weeks.
Thanks again for your prayers.

Update.
Made it through 6 day's of 5 kinds of chemo. Only headaches from treatment. Now all the cell counts go in the toilet. Then a couple weeks to get good enough to go home. Then several months recovery at home and then the tests start to see if we kicked its butt. Keep up the prayers. Maybe one day I will make it to the Bash.
Thanks
Steve

Best classic Mustang site on the web I have found, the people here are great and here is my story that not to many know about.
In 09 I had prostate cancer. They removed it. Followed by chemo and radiation for insurance. Made it a couple years then got Luekemia from the radiation. I have had a stem cell transplant wich should have taken care of it. Lost a testicle in April.  Am now in the hospital for the 3rd reacurance of lumps in the breast. I am having 5 kinds of chemo every day for 8 days. Will be in here for 30 days. Currently on day 3. Finanally it has pretty much killed off my retirement savings. Don't know where its going from here. Wish me luck and throw in some prayers.  I will take all I can get.
Thanks

I do not know if it was stuck. He did not what to move it until we were ready to start it. I was just learning about cars. I can tell you that the rusty water that ran out of the cylinders when dried on the floor left a rusty build up that had to be scraped off. The wreck had no hood or air cleaner from the time the boss got it. I was just amazed on how nice the thing ran. He did not try to rotate the crank at all. He wanted that tranny fluid to sit and not disturb it while I pulled the engine from dad's truck. Just put it in the truck and fired it up. I was always concerned that it would be an oil burner or have low compression on those two cylinders. That was not the case. And today when I find something that is stiff or stuck, tranny fluid is my go to product.

I use Kroil all the time.  You can get it from Eastwood.  IMO its the best penetrating oil out there.  Pricey, but it works.  I've even used it to dissolve dissimilar metal corrosion.  I had a Camaro with aluminum rear brake drums (GM did that sporadically).  I went to service the brakes and couldn't get the drum off one side.  I knew beating on it like an iron drum would probably ruin it, and the aluminum drums were NLA, so I opened the rear, pulled the C-clip and yanked the whole axle out with the brake drum on it.  I tapped on it a bit, but again, didn't want to wail on it for fear of damage.  Finally, at the end of my rope I hosed it down with Kroil and let it sit (axle vertical) on the bench overnight.  The next day, one very light tap with a deadblow hammer and the drum slid right off.  $26 a can, but it works so well you don't need a lot, and the parts you save will be worth oh so much more.  A can usually lasts me a couple years.

On your 300 57steve, was that engine stuck?  Its one thing for some rusty water to come out of the cylinders, I had that in two cylinders in my 6.0 PSD when it lost a head gasket, but the engine wasn't stuck.  I rolled it though a coup

Quick story. 1975 junior in high school. My day had a 65 Ford pickup 300 inch 6. It dropped a couple cylinders on vacation. Still drove home across the states on 4 cylinders. Power down mileage sucked but got us home trailer and all. Had engine rebuilt, power was worse than old engine. Senior in high school now, working in old garage for an old mech. Learned a lot from that guy. Behind the garage were several parts vehicles. I spotted a 69 Ford pickup that had been rolled, had a 300 in it, no hood and no air cleaner. Been setting there for 4 years only 30k on the truck.  Got the engine for 300 bucks  with a 90 day It will work warranty. It could not be worse than what dad had rebuilt. Pulled the engine from the wreck with a fork lift and laid it on the shop floor.  Boss said pull the plugs and put some new ones in.  Pulled the plugs like I was told and rusty water runs out of 2 off them. No hood or air cleaner for 4 years. Boss said put a cup of tranny fluid in the 2 with the rusty water. Did that, all the while thinking what did I get myself into! Swapped that sucker into dad's truck, change the fluids and fired it up. Smoked like pig for about 20 minutes. Dad put 70k on it, then I ended up with it and added another 30k. It ran better than the original.  Just show's you never know. I would not have gave it 5k. Just sayin!!!

Those of you using led lights in your panel. Are you using colored lights without the blue covers or white lights with the blue covers? If just the colored light do you like them?
Thanks

Thanks
Since MS has offered to send some, I may not need the measurement. Does it mean that the old ones will not turn up because I'm not buying new ones, or am I going to trip over the old ones coming back from the mailbox!!!!!

OK, so we know they are wherever I left them. The last place that I will look for them. And I will find them after I get new ones.
So can anyone get me a measurement from the aft end to the closest bolt hole?
I will make a set so the old ones will turn up!!!!! We all know they will.
Thanks

Some where in my garage are a pair of steering stops for the Stang, Which are wired together for safe keeping. Which does not seem to have worked. Spent the week end rooting through boxes of parts in said attic in the heat. No stops to be found any where. I know that someone out there has a set sitting on a bench. Could someone shoot me some picture's with some dimension's from the back of the stop to the mounting holes? I really do not want to buy some. As soon as I do they will jump off the bench and I will trip over them. Thanks for the help.

BB, got the guage ordered. Been messing with power point. Smart A@% son sits down beside me and says "Whatcha doin"? I am trying to draw the face of a guage. He says why don't you do it the easy way? Aaaah I have no idea was my answer. Since it takes a long time to figure out power point, you should be using PAINT he says. So I tried it. Took me 20 minutes to create a good looking face. Now I am going to remove that dash panel and do some measuring and get the dems correct. KIDS!!!!!!

Ok, I have to admit I did that in high school.  10 inch Cragars and M50x15's. Driving in a straight line was ok. Want to cross the apron to get fuel, go to the store or going around a corner was a bad idea.  Got stuck at a gas station once. The apron was steep enough that the body sat down on one rear tire and it was like putting on the brakes. Witch probably would not have been a big deal except the girl friend was in the car. Had ask her to drive while I lifted the body off the tire to get moving. Yeah that tire and wheel combo made it just a couple more days till new wheels and tires were found. NUFF Said.

I had a Ford dizzy do that on a 390 years ago. It was the PCV valve. It was almost completely clogged.
Replaced it and the hose (because it was brittle) and the issue went away.

It appears that the only thing locking it is the gear drive. That's not good enough for me. Cool idea but I would want some kind of secure locking mechanism.

I ran into a similar one years ago.  After much chasing, changing parts ect. Some jerk bent my radio antenna. In trying to straighten it I broke it off. In the next few weeks before looking for a replacement I noticed that the annoying vibe or whatever you want to call it was gone. I never did replace it, the engine sounded better than my stereo at that time.
L8tr
I would try adding some weight or putting some tention on it like tying it back a little with a string to change the harmonics of it. I would like to know if that was it. I never did replace mine to find out.

During high school I worked for an old mech that pretty much did everything to a car that you can imagine.
We had a car come into the shop that had a hole in the tank and fuel was dripping at a pretty good clip. He went down into the pit and said (hand me the the stick welder with one of those little rods and turn it on). I did and promptly left the shop. He buzzed that leak and flames went into the pit. He stomped them out, charged the guy 50 bucks and off he went. The next week he showed me how to weld a gas tank that was out of the car, after we emptied it. He fired up his truck and connected the exhaust pipe to the filler neck of the tank, let the thing pump exhaust through the tank for 20 min and began to weld a crack. I left the building before the welding started.  He had no problems, but I am not going there. Just sayin!!
