I Need some help as electrical is not my strong suit.  Right rear brake and turn lights do not work, however park light does.  Is this likely a grounding issue with the right side or possibly a bad column switch?  all other park and signal/brake lights work fine.

Any help and tips to trace would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tony

Replaced the passenger side rear spring and shock after having to pull out the sawsall and carbide blade to get the front eye bolt out.   Only 1 more to go!

Hope this helps.  I've heard you have to cut the dash from some and you don't form others.  I've not done this, maybe someone else who has can chime in

We hear you and know that we're doing this kinda in reverse!  Love of certain things can make one do things that make others scratch their heads.

Dan already has a 66 fastback w/ Pony interior, 289 that's mildly built with a 4 speed.  He bought this coupe because it's a 2 owner, documented 48,000 mile factory Emberglo with 2 tone pony interior (parchment). He's loved that color combo when he first saw it at age 11 back in 66.  It just happens to have a 6 cyl and 3 speed. He's not crazy about the 3-speed and since it's a 6, he'd prefer the the automatic.

This car isn't being built for performance as he gets all the fun he wants with the fastback  He just wants a simple cruiser, hence the automatic.  We're just trying to get a handle on everything involved with the swap so we can start to source parts.

We appreciate all info regarding parts for the swap and any tips from anyone who may have done it.

Thanks,
Tony

A friend just bought a '66 with a 6 cyl and 3-speed and wants to swap in a C4.  Neither of us have done it and need to know what parts are required.   We know the following:
Neutral safety switch
radiator and cooling lines
shifter and housing
brake pedal

Will we need a different transmission mount, drive shaft and/or reverse switch?  What else are we forgetting?

Thanks!

Thanks for the input.  What advantage are 4.5 over the stock 4 leaf?

New acquisition and looking for opinions for replacement rear leafs on a '65 convertible with 289 4bbl with dual exhaust as the car sags on the driver's side.  I've done it before on a '66 coupe using parts vendor kit with good results.  Looking to replace with stock rate springs and regular eyelet.  A couple of buddy's swear Eaton's are better.  Is there any advantage of going through Eaton directly other than cost?   Are Eaton's better?  They are not that much more expensive but when I can get free shipping from the parts vendor total price is a consideration.  I'm willing to pay more for better parts, just need to make sure it's worth it.

Thanks Tony

That's what got us questionning the authenticity as neither of us have seen the car.  I asked about getting the inner fender VIN verified as the widow got it from the insurance papers.  This is 3rd party information as it is from an old neighbor of hers and she is in her 70s now and doubt we will abe to get pictures, but are trying to make it happen.

It didn't sound realistic to us that it could be a Pilot Plant given it's a '66 unless there was some reason Ford pulled some for testing at some point.  We are tyring to get data plate info to check the DSO, etc.  Just wanted to see if anyone has heard of any '66 with Pilot Plant factory code as it just doesn't make sense.  If we can get photos, I'll post, but not holding my breath at this point.

Looking for some knowledge here.  A fellow enthusiast was contacted by a lady who's husband bought her a 1966 coupe new in the day and they still own it.  He has passed and she is looking to sell, but now wonders if she has a car worth some value as she was offered $20,000 for it off the bat.  It is just a plain C code coupe with standard interior and automatic

The reason for the question is that it was produced at the Pilot Plan as noted in the VIN with letter "S"  6S07Cxxxxxx.

I know that there were 15 cars produced pre-production for evaluation, etc.  and there are 3 accounted for.  The problem is that I can't see Ford holding it for 18 months before putting it on the line.  Does anyone have any additional information that we might be able to determine an accurate value for her?
Thanks, Tony

Finally back to work on the car after this long, cold winter and noticed one freeze plug on the ground.  Motor in the car and was without fluid other than oil.  Haven't inspected the rest yet, but wondering if I should replace them all or just the one that popped?
Thoughts?
