MS the rear seal sealer may have screwed with the viscosity and performance of the engine oil in multiple ways...I am running Morel Billet rollers in my Cleveland...they recommend 5W30 to insure the oil gets everywhere....Sorry to here this happened....Pulling the engine and boiling it or not??? is a crap shoot...maybe pull the trans and then all the plugs in the engine blocks oiling system
and Flush it out ?? NO...pull the engine and BOIL it, replace what makes sense...soak the new seals in sealant stop leak a week before installing them.... jmho.......jj

A crate motor may indeed be a more simply approach to your situation.  Without a good supply of swap meet parts you  would be hard pressed to "build-one-cheaper".
Be sure and check Summit's prices on crate motors. I have found they are usually less expensive on almost everything automotive. Great selection too.  Also look at Skip White's selection of crate motors and prices. I have no personal experience with Skip White(other than an alternator) but have read several reports on the internet of  satisfied customers.
Yes............if I were in Belgium ...I would opt for the crate engine option.

Very wise recommendation....I second the motion....jj

Huh?  One of us is bass akward, Joe.  In my 'sperience if the rears lock first the hiney is very apt to pass the front due to loss of traction.  If the fronts lock first you can't steer but the traction of the rear tires keeps the thing more or less straight.  At least that's what I've been told and what I have felt in the seat of my drawers.
BB

You got it backasswards...lock up the fronts and you have uncontrollable steering and the back end whips out of control ...think of it as a motorcycle going 55 mph and you grab only the front brake hard

Hi glad to be on the forum. I have a 66 coupe with a 302, roller rockers. 351C heads. BW T-10 four speed model 415. My question is does anybody make a shifter to fit this model T-10. The research I have done tells me Hurst does not make one or at least not the install kit. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Don and I got it in the trailer by jacking up one end and then backing the trailer under it. Then used long 2x6 as lever to lift the tail end while pushing. After a couple of miscues, it went right in.

Getting it out was alot easier. I told the movers that the cash I was going to give them for a tip had been locked in the top drawer of the toolbox and I could not get to it until the box was out of my trailer. They grabbed the big ramp from their 18 wheeler and a very short time later, the box and my tractor were in the garage. Work smarter, not harder!

New house has three car garage, and right now, NO cars can be parked inside. I have got to get rid of more stuff, or get a new building built.

Will be happy to give my new address to anyone that would like to come by to visit. Just email.

Don't forget to seal the garage floor........jj
