Billy, Go to the NADA Value, web site and check for value on your car and print it out for the adjuster. The value listed might surprise you.

When I was young. I had an Uncle that worked at Ford. He was an engineer with development. I asked him why the timing order change. He told me, the 289 order causes a load on the front main bearing, you cannot hear it. When the 351 came out, it produced a front main knock that was slightly audible. So they made the change. When the 5.0 came out the front knock was picked up by knock sensors and kept retarding the timing. They made the change with the firing order and released the 5.0 to the market.

Muzz, I might be able to help you. I'm in the middle of installing the Borgeson in my 66 with a Saginaw pump. I made my own hoses. Mabe I can make you a hose.

The oil flow is from outer side to center return. The #21 is .004 larger than a 5/32 drill bit

Bob,  I plumbed my F&R Cobra brakes last August and found my rear calipers had 10 X 1.5 banjo bolts.  I'm not disputing George, just pointing out that your calipers may vary.  It took me countless trips to finally get all those little parts right.

Take the calipers to the parts store to verify banjo bolt size.

Sorry my bad. They are 1.5 thread 10 mm dia.

I think I see your problem. The cylinder drop bracket appears to be pulling out of the frame. This could account for more travel 1 way.

I'm installing the borgeson kit in my 66 mustang. I purchased the MS lower bearing kit. With the rag joint installed and the bearing and lock collar on the shaft it protrudes through the firewall above the column clamp. Is this normal ?
If I put the lower borgeson bushing on the shaft, it is flush with the gear side of the firewall with the column in the clamp. Is this normal for the install .

The long shaft aod I used in my 66, came from a 1988 Lincoln mark vii. If you want a short shaft look for a mustang or t-bird. With a 5.0

Yes, That is the smog control. The canister is the air filter. The air pump is under the radiator hose. Air is then routed through the hoses to blow air in the exhaust ports.
