AFR has had issues with head pushrod guide clearance. With all of that investment , I would call AFR directly . They will help straighten out that problem.

It's a little more difficult, but there is money to be saved by shopping around. Buy from multiple suppliers. Check freight options.

Good tip Steve. I  installed mine today. On my drake wheel I was disappointed with the roll pin deal once again. Stock Henry cancel ring was the ticket. One thing- do not push the ring down so far on the wheel that it makes contact with the contact plate. Leave an 1/8 or so or it will short out everything. By the way, I don't think anybody is repoppping  that spring ring-never throw one of those away!

I am currently using a tremec 600 in my 65 fastback daily driver type hot rod street car.  I am building another 65 car for street/drag-don't need od. Was wanting old school 4 speed. Sounds like toploader or Super t-10 . Of those two, which would be best?

Sal- According to The Ford Motor Company ,those holes are absolutely necessary for the prolonged life and enjoyment of the vehicle, and any tampering with the holes could result in life imprisonment for the owner. I'd plug em up to keep out the stank!

How good is the t10 four speed trans that came in the early Mustang? Will it hold up to 400 HP? Are there common problems with it? Thanks for input!

Steve, I may have missed one of your posts- did you have a new housing made up? If so, what dimensions did you go with. housing end to housing end?

Steve thanks for reply. I have been looking at a couple 65 /six cylinder to v8 candidates and saw these 68 drum brake spindles for sale in my area. I will pass on them because of ole Akerman. Thanks

I have a chance to buy some frontend parts from a 68 coupe, including spindles and hubs. Will the 68 spindles fit a 65-66 with no modification? Thanks

Thanks guys- My trans has the 10 spline input. Got it from Keisler about 10 years ago. I think they went bankrupt or were bought. At the time they were the big deal Tremec honchos .I'd like to just change gearsets so I don't have to change the clutch setup.

rtmjr- Was thinking about getting that wheel but I am wondering about the turn signal cancel mechanism. Can you tell what kind it has? Hope it's not the ole Grant roll pin setup. Thanks for any info.

Devo- If you want power but, something your wife can drive, go with a 347 and a mild cam. Although with your knowledge base you might be better off with a 302 build.
